Eilish Wilson

Saxophonist and Music teacher in Wellington

Kia ora! I’m Eilish Wilson, a saxophonist and music teacher based in Wellington/Te Whanganui a Tara, Aotearoa.

Since graduating from the New Zealand School of Music at the end of 2015, I've worked consistently throughout New Zealand and abroad. Highlights include playing at the Monterey Jazz Festival with the Rodger Fox Big Band, and recording albums at the legendary United Studios (L.A) & at the acclaimed Bunker Studios in Brooklyn, New York City.

I perform with a variety of bands and collectives, including Raw Collective, Dr. Reknaw, The Wellington Mingus Ensemble, and most recently Fun ⅋ Funner.

People who inspire me include Kae Tempest, Cécile McLorin Salvant & Melissa Aldana.

When I'm not busy with music, I love taking film photography, going on road trips & skiing with my mates.

I want this song played at my funeral.
